The Context of Paul's Letter to the Romans

The letter to the Romans is very different from other letters that Paul writes to churches. Paul has never been to Rome, but he's got some friends there and they've heard what he has to say. He takes 16 chapters and writes everything he understands about the gospel of Christ in one book. It was formational for me in understanding the Christian faith.
