The Federal Reserve's Intervention in Long Term Treasury Bonds
i don't know if there's anything in our lifetimes that comes close to 71 in terms of just how radical a departure it was fromm from the prior period. The federal reserve started directly intervening in longer duration treasury bonds during the financial crisis. And after most recent run and fiscal expansion, where we really accelerated our drive over the fiscal cleft and printed more money than ever before, inflation is going to become an increasingly serious problem.
