Vertical Stacking: The Future of Carbon Accounting
Radica: I'm attracted to the idea of vertical stacking. If you can take some quantity, some multiple of a fossil emission and by 10, 15, 20 times that amount of less durable carbon removals there's something that's powerful about that idea. But also that's a theoretical mathematical approach to geophysical reality of one fossil ton emitted. And should we be adding some theoretical financial device here when really you just need to mobilize a ton of fossil carbon? Radica: From my perspective, what you described seems great but right now the market has rejected, the buyers have rejected what you have postulated.
