How to Preserve a Structure in a Fitness Pay Off Function
Evolutionary theory says that for every state of the world, there will be pay offs. And zero might mean your yo, youknow, you're doing really poorly. A hundred might mean that's the best you could possibly do, you'll have lots of offspring. The number that actually preserve a structure, that's a special property, to preserve that structure, there's going to be fewer of them.
