The Last Stand of Philip and Decius

In the summer of two forty nine, decius and philip faced off near verona in northern italy. Philip knew full well he wouldn't be able to raise enough troops to match the size of deseus force. Decius was no maximinius thrax, and philip was no hardy brotherhood of senat valiantly defending the honor of italy from an evil tyrant. So the story played out differently.
