How I Learned Spanish and Math
"I was in remedial math my whole life. Because Montessori, I was like screw this," she says of her early education. "The only time I had ever interacted in Spanish in my life at that point was we looked at the Caribbean and occasionally we'd go back to the U.S." She learned a couple of basic adjectives but not much more than that. The rest of her life was totally English.
