Are You Really Good at Understanding Sarcasm?

Children who come from sarcasm prone families tend to be good at comprehending the sarcasm when they come to our lab. So there's a suggestion that maybe you just need to have lots of examples. The experimental group was about 30 % more accurate than the control condition. We really wanted to see, like a single episode of training, could that actually change a child's understanding of what sarcasm is and why people use it? And it did. i think if you actually talked about it on multiple occasions, the effect would be even more robust.
