The Pitfalls of Bureaucratic Expansion in DEI Programs

This chapter critiques the ineffectiveness of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs in universities, suggesting that an increase in DEI bureaucrats has paradoxically led to more inclusivity issues. Using a historical metaphor, it examines how the incentivization of certain roles can lead to unintended negative outcomes and questions the accountability of these programs.
