The Futures Market as a Cake
Open interest in the futures market is cut into slices. Money managers are looking for direction and momentum, not to be married to their position. We can see some of the recent movements starting with Crudol. If you look across some of the others, you can see the interest for gold is very high. The agricultural space is a bit mixed - I didn't put in wheat, but that's actually the most short of all the commodity futures' currently around.
