The Importance of a Good Minimum Wage

When we set a minimum wage, for example, at $15 economically, you have not said that labor is worth $15. What you have said is all the labor that isn't worth $15 must get out of the labor market. And what happens to those people? Well, they don't go to work every day. They don't learn new skills. The next statement is, okay, if the minimum wage hurts low skill, low experience workers, what is it that can help them? Now that's a very different question. Maybe we should have started here because those people have already turned off this podcast in a fit of anger.
