Is There a Presumption of Coercion?
Libertarian theory of coercion says government can't coerce people unless it has a good reason. People disagree about what the state is permitted to do, but they also disagree about its effects. So many policies and approaches are going to be reasonably rejectable by someone or at least some sizable group. Because gals allows for a much broader range of reasonable disagreement than does raws there will be libertarian and conservative members of the public that have a good reason to reject extensive forms of government.
