The novel is a very philosophical novel, but it's also about people's behavior and what their beliefs lead them to do. All the different philosophical thought experiments that are really famous make an appearance subtly. And at various points, both through their own, you know, emphasis and metaphysical considerations, but also through their kind of behavior, characters enact all the different famous thought experiments like Carmen's.
