The Three Camps of Anachronism in the Trinity
The Trinity is articulated in a conceptuality to a certain degree alien to the New Testament. It's not to say that it could be completely absent from Paul's world, but it wasn't central in, in the same way. And so we need to read Paul in light of his own idiom, his own Jewish and second temple,. particularly second temple Jewish conceptuality. All of this put together, there isn't a natural organic link from Paul to the Trinity. Instead, Trinitarians drew on threads, only threads, and then supplanted that with philosophical documents.
