Blood Pressure Monitoring for Primary Hypertension
The first step in the work up for primary hyper tension is to actually confirm the diagnosis. This requires the use of blood pressure monitoring. High readings are the classic cut off we were taught one, forty over 90. With ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, patients can be diagnosed with hyper tension if their mean awake systolic blood pressure is over or equal to one, 35,.
