The 20 Different Biases of the Human Brain
A century ago, Daniel and Amos wrote an article about 20 different ways that the human brain kind of like does a little shortcut that sometimes is fucking wrong. They cited 20 specific biases as manifestations of various heuristics. And one of the things in that paper was the availability bias. But public policy experts pointed out that people tend to assess relative importance of issues by the ease with which they are retrieved for memory.
