Is the Cough Reflex Specific for Poor Neuronal Outcome?
Both the cough and the gag have not been well studied, so i don't think there'sike a good evidentary basis here. With regard to the cough reflex, it's probably very cific for poor outcome. After 72 and 96 hours, it becomes more specific for poor nerologic outcomes. So time an cure is key. Immediately after rest, most patients will have kind of like a malignant pattern of an e g ana. Over time, hopefully patients will evolve from amalignant pattern to a benign pattern. And the quicker patient can go from a malignant en to a benignpattern, the better off they are.
