Dimentia, Caregivers Play a Critical Role in Clinical Care
Ethically, our first responsibility is to the patient. But as we discuss in the statement, dimentia, care givers play a really critical role in clinical care. In a lot of cases, if you don't have a caregiver involved, you've really got nothing to go on right? You have no history, ve, no exam, you have no plan. So part of taking care of the patient is recognizing and trying to ameliorate care giver burden which often does result in bad outcomes for the patient.
