The Four Elements Are Not Elements

The four elements are made out of two different kinds of triangles. Earth is made up of one kind triangles, with one right angle and two further equal angles. This explains the solidity of earth at what we might call the molecular level. All the other elements are made of little triangles, each of which is half of an equilateral triangle. Once they join as equilateral triangles, these can in turn be combined to form the surfaces of various three dimensional shapes called polyhedra. If you have ever wondered why, the cube, pyramid, octahedron, dodecahedron and icosehedron are called the platonic solids.
