How to Make a Record

I remember hearing songs of the new record a while back and just thinking this is a great little crop of songs you've got on the brew here. A lot of those did make it to the final record so I guess I mean how long did it all take you think from you know the initial seed of an idea to you know the master as it were? Yeah well it was the course of four years that I was creating and writing but at some point I had to start locking down and thinking okay what is my next step I'm going to sound like. It might be that aesthetically the sounds just sound quite in my world or the palette that I think I've created as an artist.
