The Importance of a Steel Boat to Antarctica
I wouldn't go in anything other than aluminium or steel. And something that pretty thick as well. Even the small icebergs, they make quite a sound as they're going down the side of the hull and they catch on your mooring lines too. But we did meet these like radical three American chaps, you know, three men in a boat sort of thing. They were in a fiberglass boat and they headed down to the peninsula,. but they actually didn't penetrate too far down.
