What Makes Yates So Great?

Yates was another one of our bridges from past to future, ancient to modern. His style changes and he re invents himself as a poet. He never stopped his devotion to verse forms - that's what makes him so great. Having a press there to bring out dozens of volumes of your work with you as the editor is a freeing thing. Your standard for quality must be high, or you'll print a bunch of crap. But if it is high and your quality is good, you don't need to worry about editors saying, not this too far. i got off track with the press, but i wanted to mention the way poets and writers who just came after yates were treated
