Gavin Shontel is a breast cancer surgeon in Melbourne. He says he tries to inspire more females into the industry by giving them part-time jobs and an open house policy at his practice. The C word 'cancer' should not have a negative connotation, Dr Shontel says. "People are not going to die of cancer," Mr Shontel adds.
