The series on ancient cosmology brings up a certain level of tension for me as someone who grew up in a tradition where genesis one, trouh three was taught from a more literal perspective. What we're trying to do is recover the ancient understanding of these narratives the way the biblical authors intended them. Ye, it feels new because it hasn't been the main way these narratives have been read in the last couple hundred years.
