I've Used It a Lot and I'm Not Sure It Works but It Works
I would read from a book and rewrite the characters that I didn't know on a separate sheet and write down their pronunciation which you need to do in Chinese because the characters don't indicate how they're meant to be pronounced. After rewriting them into a little book afterwards I could look through the book and see if there are any words that I feel like I'm not using much although I don't know very well so those would probably end up being rewritten as well. There was a lot of repetition of vocabulary going through and rewriting stuff loads of times to make sure I got into my head but it did kind of work actually well. The real problem with mind is really to mind anyway in Chinese
