What Are Your Clients Going to Think of You?
When we carry that forward, there's a vulnerability. There's an implicit threat that's communicated in those whispered voices inside of us. What are they going to think of you? They're going to see that you don't know what you're doing. And so the threat is almost a sematically held boat realization that one wrong move and the chalk mark on the lapel sends you back to wherever you are. I think the threat is the tenuous hole that our ancestors grasp on the rung right above them.
