i've been thinking about a thesis of bubbles that i heard from several people, which is this idea that you just expressed. In other words, bubbles leave a lot of very cool stuff after they pupped. People lost fortunes on the dotcom bubble, but now there's the infra structure. And in a similar fashion, i like your metefor for emerging markets. Well, people might lose everything they put in, but that bridge or road gets paid.
In this episode of Infinite Loops we speak with Dan Rasmussen, founder and CIO of Verdad Advisers. We discuss:
- Bubbles vs. Crises
- Investing in Emerging Markets
- Identifying when "value investing" works, and when it doesn't
- Theory vs. Practice
- And a LOT more!
