Aeneas's Lineage

Aphrodite leaves anchises with the knowledge that they're going to have a child together. She tells him, when your eyes first see this flourishing child, you will rejoice at the sight. Aeneas's lineage is seriously important. He is not only the son of a literal goddess and a goddess who doesn't make a habit of birthing mortal sons but also a relation of the oldest name in troy's history books. Due to his status as the son of an Aphrodite rather than a god, he is very directly linked to achilles when the trojan war rolls around.
