The Role That Humans Are Playing in Lobster Sex
Lobster sex depends on the female's urine having certain chemical signals. The oceans are becoming more acidic, changing the chemistry of sea water. Climate change is affecting smell and chemical signaling in many species. If we don't know that these kind of strategies exist or how they work, we can't know what kind of impacts we may be having, even in the deep sea.
