The Importance of History in the Book of Mormon

Most of the original 116 pages of the Book of Mormon were that disappeared. Joseph Smith produced afterwards after it had gone missing was an abridged or smaller version from Lehi's son Nephi. In D&C it talks about this and more importantly in second Nephi around page, I'd have to go back and look at it. The Lord says you need to make a portion that is just basically for history, for war, for kings and magistrates,. And just a lineage, like lineage, almost like the very initial words given in the Gospels.
