Is the Construction of a Joke Different in India?
The language barrier is the one clear difference I would make. People need to be likable and non-threatening in most countries. Fundamentally, if you're able to surprise an audience at the end of a sentence, no matter in what language, you're going to make them laugh. The subjects that you speak about could be different depending on where you go.
