John Wick: A Subversive Movie
Reeves read the script for John Wick and was interested in working on it. The writer Derek Colsted revealed to Channel 3000 that his grandfather had been a contract killer as well. Reeves then brought in another key member of the John Wick personnel, Chad Stahelsky who worked with him on Matrix films. He said when he got John Wick I sent it to them originally for the action part of the film but secretly hoped that they'd want to direct it.
