The temporary measure helped Botswana, Namibia, and Zimbabwe sell 50 tons and 108 tons of ivory to Japan and China. In two weeks, the party's to CITES will meet to discuss why life and conservation efforts should be prioritized. The CITES has already rejected their demands in 2016 and 2019. But if the countries could drum up support from emerging economies, maybe they could turn the tide.
