Introduction
Liz Klein: Augustine's intellectual conversion is a really important part of the narrative of the Confessions. Sehorn: We live in a very anti-intellectual culture, which is one of the reasons why I think it's so helpful to read the Confessions carefully and sympathetically. For him, they have everything to do with the conversion of his heart. Like Augustine has no problem believing that whatever you love, you probably love it passionately.
