"I feel like I'm craving like elders and teachers and people to guide me but trying to make sure that that desire isn't an excuse to opt out of my own adulthood," she says. "The way that he interacts with me demonstrates elderhood and it's a it's a verb right it's a function so did I feel less confident as a result of speaking with him yes because I quite I allowed myself to question everything", the author adds.
