The Importance of Having a Patent Airway in an Emergency Department Setting
Laryngeal airway, an LMA, is going to be the best tool for most of my patients in the setting that I work. The LMA is easier, it's quicker, and it's less technically challenging. But I'm always ready to transition to a different technique if I cannot be sure that I'm delivering oxygen to the lungs. And to me, that is the key.
