When he got to 4045, you have to remember me. I was playing in only the best orchestras in New York and only the best jazz bands. Those guys had style because I started so late. I didn't have style. I felt my style was clarity and always being heard and being in time. And cats can build. The reason I became well known in the studios is because it came about that I was on a public television show with that Jones and middle Lewis simultaneous to playing with bullets and the film.
