Photography of Darkness: Harvey Glatman and the Glamour Girl Killer

The first episode of the Golden Age of Serial Murder. A podcast on the history of serial murder and a unique period of violence. Harvey Glatman was born in December 1927 an only child whose perverse fantasies shocked his parents and mental health experts from a very early age. After spending some time in prison he would move out to the Hollywood of the 1950s. Moonlighting as a glamour girl photographer his dark fantasies would become realized among the shimmering palms trees of the city. We look at the life of Harvey Glatman the glamour girl killer, first using his childhood to explore the psychology of serial killers, narcissism and psychopaths and then diving into Glatman's murders which would forever be imprinted on the celluloid canvas.
