helium doesn't form any bonds with anything. So what do you have to do on Earth? What magic are you? What sorcery are you committing in the early universe to make this happen? Well, we have to have high temperatures. That's a big piece. And there's also a velocity component. Those are the two main pieces. These two protons or these two species have to slam into each other with enough velocity and high enough temperatures in order to basically have that solution. "It's fascinating stuff.
