I Think It's the Education Piece That's Missing for People Who Are Struggling to Get an Appointment With a GP
I have a tele-GP so I book an appointment via an app and the first thing it will ask me is what is it that I'm looking for in terms of the support I need, like what's the issue. It will give me a recommendation of the right people to speak to which could be anything from a prescribing pharmacist, a nurse practitioner, a physiotherapist. The list is pretty long and so I'm not always pushed immediately to a GP but I think working in healthcare I know and trust that I can choose who the right person is based on my needs. Most often it's that I need a repeat prescription or I know the medication I need I've used it before
