Inquest into the death of a psychiatric patient came to light after it had been concluded. Court said fresh evidence might reasonably lead to conclusion that full facts concerning circumstances leading to deceased death had not been revealed. Government agreed with government's view that inquest process is intended to be inquisitorial and legal representation should not be necessary at all inguests. From January this year bereaved families in quest can now apply for legal representation through exceptional case funding without means testing what's the practical effect of these changes?
