United's South Pacific Expansion

United Airlines has added a bunch of flights down under for the winter or Northern Hemisphere, winter, Australia's summer. United Center press release yesterday on their largest South Pacific expansion in aviation. The expansion includes the first nonstop flight between San Francisco and Christchurch,. It's going to be flying the Christchurch route three times a week with the Boeing 787-8. Also next winter, United will be adding four weekly flights to Auckland from Los Angeles. And it's not just New Zealand that's getting the love; there's lots of new Australia services too.
