Germany has always been a freelance market, very different from spain or italy. i started working for a school called the berlin school of english. After about a year or so, the british council was looking to take on full time teachers in germany. I didn't get the job, but that was enough to let martin payan, the owner of the berlin and hamburg schools in english, no that i was interested in finding something more concrete to do.
