Eureca is a landlock port of nearly 30 thousand people, 283 miles north of san francisco and more than 100 miles north of the nearest target. It is west of the sierras and up wind from every target in the united states. Those early days in california were good times for this group of people that by this point had really become a big extended family. These people were really close to one another.
