The History of the East and West Berlin Airports

After the collapse of the Berlin wall in 1989, there were three airports in Berlin. Teagel was initially built in 1948 to support the Berlin airlift. Temple Hoffs runways were too short for jets once jets became popular. Schoenfeld was the East Berlin airport and Templeoff and Teagel were the West Berlin airports.
