The History of the Ancient Oscidian Mirrors

The mirrors from the ancient world sometimes were slightly convex. Convex is like a bowl upturned bending towards you. Would people within say an ancient anatolian civilization think of their own faces as slightly convex compared to what they actually were? I don't know, just something interesting to think about. But still might have some kind of effect on how people viewed themselves.
