Is Early Hematoma Evacuation Beneficial?

Two studies looked at who benefited from early hematoma evacuation. One identified a sub group of patients who seemed to benefit, but the other found no benefits. The bottom line is that early hemotoma evacuation doesn't seem to be beneficial. But i think there is a big caviot here that both of these studies involved rescue surgery for patients with expanding hematomas.
