I think our culture is so obsessed with these outer displays of our glory that we don't really have a model for what happens to the woman when she becomes 40. Like what happens to men when you get there? Our culture is not good at addressing that. It's all very short term thinking for both men and women. We should be blessed to live until we're 80 or 100 years old. But I think a lot of people really fear it because they haven't been, they've been discipled for short term thinking. And that shows up very much in that maximum model.
