How I Learned to Cook for Children
My top tip around child's vegetable is, you know, when you, like in the UK, we have like boiled Brussels sprouts. They taste like crap. You come to LA, they're like roasted, they got soy sauce and that all you can do for spices. So roasting vegetables completely changes them. We roast cauliflower, broccoli, courgette,. All these lovely food, like the food. And the kids, it's almost like crispy. They really love them. That's a good tip. Put some like cumin and some pre-prequered on them and suddenly a boring, like bit of cauliflower tastes really lovely and crispy and changes the texture.
