Do You Have Any Secrets for Mixing Music?

I don't let anyone mix my music because I'm so precious about every frequency where I'm like, no, that's part of it, don't take that out. And even mastering, I'm really, really particular because I just feel like it's all a part of the composition, like every frequency. Do you have any secrets? The main thing that I do for mixing is like, well, I do a little bit of it as I'm going. It's similar to orchestration again, where it's like, it's more blending. Like I'm thinking about the overall sound of like, I bring all of the frequencies up to the same level.
