i loved there's a moment in the book, finding the mother tree where you tell the story of the first time. But i want you to open this up forus. You o that you first listened to a fir tree, that you herd it with a giger counter. What were you hearing? Yes, we'd done this experiment where we grew these 80 triplicates of birch, fir and cedar. I had totally made this paper birch hot. And so then i went over to the douglas ford, and i held the geiger counter to it, and there was a faint crackle. And that's when i knew, i knew that they were sharing
